Pain Management Center Hagop M. Tabakian, M.D. The UF Health Pain Management Center – Jacksonville provides state-of-the-art medical programs and pain management. The services offered range from consultative to diagnostic procedures. The most common diagnoses from this area are arthropathy, backache, cervicalgia, headache, lumbago, lumbar or lumbosacral intervertebral disk degenerative, lumbosacral neuritis, spondylosis, myofascial pain syndrome, back pain, post laminectomy syndrome, spinal stenosis and spondyloarthopathy. We are frequently consulted for medication management and are happy to see those in need of evaluation and stabilization of chronic pain management. Please keep in mind we are a consultation service and do not provide maintenance for medical management. Once patients are stabilized, usually after a period of 90 days, they will be referred back to their primary care physician for maintenance of their medication regimen. The patient will be advised that if they do not have a primary care physician who is willing to write their prescriptions and monitor them appropriately after the stabilization period, they will be given a weaning dose of the medication. If the patient is on an effective regimen, prescribed by their primary care physician, we will not take over management of that regimen. The only exceptions to this are cancer patients or other terminal patients, due to the need for frequent medication or dosage adjustments. view division facultyUF Health Pain Management Center – Jacksonville
