Welcome to the division of neuroanesthesiology in the department of anesthesiology at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville.
Patient Care
At the downtown campus, a core group of neurosurgical anesthesiologists and CRNA/CAAs provide care for patients undergoing complex neurosurgical procedures. The comprehensive spine center has been one of the flagship programs of the UF Health North Campus.
Education
The downtown campus is also the primary location of residency education for neurosurgical anesthesiology, as our residents spend a minimum of one month rotating on this service. We cover a wide variety of cases, including trauma, complex tumors of both the brain and spine, complex spine surgery, and neurovascular surgery for aneurysm and stroke.
Research
We have several ongoing clinical studies in this area on neuromonitoring, stroke thrombectomy outcomes, and outcomes in minimally invasive spine surgery.
